I'll admit, it's been quiet around here lately....
Very quiet.
If only I could say I have spent the last three months relaxing on a beach somewhere, but even though I've been absent from Instagram, Facebook, and blogging , life has been anything but quiet. I like to take a little time at the beginning of the new year to recharge and reset... and for me with four kids at home, sometimes scaling back for a while is hard to do so posting is usually the first thing to go!
As I start to catch up on my blogging over the next few weeks, I wanted to share some of the things I have been up to over the last couple months.

First, I am excited to announce I have partnered with Magic Hour, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that pairs families fighting cancer with local photographers for free sessions. Families who take part in these sessions receive digital images along with prints from their session in a custom box. For more information on Magic Hour, or to apply for a session, please visit their website.

Something else I have done recently was more of a personal challenge to be braver than usual... I entered the 2018 Shoot & Share photo contest. This was my first year to enter the contest, and I decided to go "All In" and enter the maximum 50 photos allowed.
For those who haven't heard of this contest before...
"The Shoot & Share Photo Contest is the world’s only free & fair photo contest. Enter up to 50 photos in 25 categories. Anyone can enter photos, and it’s totally free! View the photos randomly and vote for your favorites. No one knows who took the photos, but everyone votes for the winners. The photos with the most votes win!" - Shoot & Share
This year 412,379 photos were entered into the contest. I took a chance and entered all 50, and then spent way too many hours voting! ;) In the end, I did better than I imagined I would, and felt more inspired than I ever have before.
