This October evening was one of my favorites, and for so many reasons. Over the last four and half years, this family has become a second-family to my own. Our kids have practically grown up together, and I found a friendship that is absolutely irreplaceable. They are a beautiful reminder that God puts people into your life for a reason, and his timing is perfect.
We drove out to the lake bed to take pictures of their sweet family with the GMC Jimmy they had spent the last several years rebuilding. The weather was gorgeous, the session was fun, and afterwards our families spent the evening together playing. As it turns out, it was one of the last evenings we spent together before they set off on a brand new adventure in a new state.
This evening has an incredibly special place in my heart.
